Trusting the Process

Most of us lose our grip on the world during a spiritual awakening. Our lives are completely turned upside down and we can no longer relate to people who were very close to us. Sometimes we even feel delusional as our reality appears to be more artificial. The spiritual awakening journey pushes you to become the greatest version of yourself, however, it breaks you in the process. 

Trusting the awakening process sounds easier said than done. How do you trust when you don’t even have a clue of what is going on? Well, the simple answer to that is; your soul knows what’s going on, your conscious mind just needs to catch up. One thing you need to know to make this process much easier is that you are not your mind or your body, you are your soul. Your soul is the part of you connected to the universe and infinite consciousness (aka God). 

Your soul chose this path even before you were born into your current lifetime so there is no need to be afraid. If it feels like your life is falling apart, just hang on. In the next couple of months or years, you’ll look back and realize that this was a necessary process. You are currently purging what no longer serves your highest purpose. You are waking up past the illusion and getting rid of the indoctrination imposed on you since childhood. 

You have to stop listening to what the world feels you should do and start paying attention to your inner voice. You are meant to be more than just another member of society who acts out the script handed to them. You are here to create your own story and live life on your own terms. 

Living life on your own terms will not be rosy at first. You will feel lonely, confused, and weird. You’ll also probably encounter external challenges such as financial issues, lack of direction on your career path, and breakups with lovers and friends. All these are a part of the purging process. You are much more powerful than you think you are, you’ll make it through to the other side.
